VOICES

VOICES is a unique visual arts program that merges the missions of Art Saint Louis and elementary and secondary schools in the St. Louis region. Through exhibitions combined with educational programming, art becomes a dynamic vehicle for cultural and ethnic dialogue between artists and students and enhances arts curriculum in each school.

VOICES exhibitions are presented in the schools' facilities and consist of original artworks by men and women artists from Asian, African-American, Hispanic Latino, Eastern European, and/or Native American backgrounds. Exhibiting artists work with the students as “artists-in-residence”, teaching and demonstrating their techniques.
